Greater Pittsburgh Festival Of Books.

The Greater Pittsburgh Festival of Books, GPFB, was referred to me through a mutual connection. The brand and campaign were created during the early stages of organizing in order to get the word out to the literary community, promote donations, and drum up volunteers. The artwork was used in several applications across print and digital media.

The goal was to create a simple timeless logo that represented Pittsburgh and could remain in coming years as themes and colors might change and evolve. Steering away from the stereotypical black and gold often applied to Pittsburgh brands, this playful, colorful pallet was chosen to reflect Pittsburgh’s vibrant culture.
