WRiting & Editing
Words are my SUPERPOWER
I’m an experienced storyteller, communications, and public relations professional, specializing in marketing and brand communications. In addition to design expertise, I have written for B2B and consumer audiences, internal corporation comms, business development, and specialized, jargon-heavy industries. My work is most often behind the scenes, copyediting and ghost writing to amplify the voice of my clients and colleagues. No matter the client voice, style, message, audience, or scale, I can step in and seamlessly craft, edit, and polish your copy.
Web Content
Optimized & Customized
Wasque Advisors wanted to fluff up and fill out their content. After an over-the-phone interview and keyword research, I worked with their website developer to optimize their content and better explain their unique services.
Setting the Tone
Brand Voice
Finding the right words to talk about your business can be a challenge. While setting up design brand guidelines, I always encourage my clients to set the tone of their brand voice from the start. Documenting that language helps create consistency in the way you connect with your target audience. A well-established brand voice is easily recognizable and lets your customer get to know you and your services more clearly.

Getting the message out
Press Releases
Bracks Collective is a group of Pittsburgh creatives who partnered together during the pandemic on a kickstarter project. The group came together to illustrate a deck of cards featuring endangered animals. As part of the group, I crafted a press release to promote our work. This is my most recent written press release, but certainly not my first. This press release was used to promote the kickstarter. The story was then featured in several publications.
Ghost writing
Professional & Factual
I’ve written uncredited in several situations. The art to ghost writing is listening to your client or the credited author and helping to craft and tell their story. For the Indiana County Department of Human Resources, I helped to craft messaging for COVID-19 booster shots that were incredibly sensitive. The content needed to be purely informational, avoid all evoking of emotion, and toe a very controversial line.
Years of practice
Editorial, Blog & Web Content
During my time as Marketing Communications Coordinator for the Laurel Highlands Visitor’s Bureau, I served as copywriter, content creator, editor, and blog manager. I was the editorial lead and main contributor to the 2016 and 2017 destination print travel guides. I also contributed to the 2018 guide before my departure.
At the LHVB, I also wrote press releases, media communications, B2B and consumer emails, and web content.
Ghost Writing
President’s Message
The Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau sent out monthly partner newsletters. Each month, I edited the content intended for small businesses owners and tourism professionals in the tri-county area. Often, the content would be bullet point topics that I would then craft into polished messaging. One of my favorites and most recognized was a moving message from the President and CEO after a visit to the Flight 93 Memorial.
